Building a parabolic reflector with mirrors part 2

The first part of this project was a single row of 8 2" mirrors. This is just a small update I added a second row mirrors and adjusted them to the focal point. I decided to see if I could run a stirling engine that I had built from a kit. Using the parabolic reflector as the heat source. Well it ran but maybe a little too well. It started melting the plastic parts of the stirling engine.

I still don’t have my laser thermometer yet, so I don’t know what the temperature of a black object is at the focal point.

Two videos of it running before meltdown.
